1. Introduction

These Epitome Installers terms govern the installation services terms provided by Epitome Installers. By requesting a quotation, booking a service, or accepting a quotation, you agree to adhere to these terms, including the customer responsibilities outlined within.

2. Quotations

All quotations provided by Epitome Installers are free of charge and valid for a limited period unless otherwise stated. These Epitome Installers terms indicate that quotations are based on the information available at the time of inspection or enquiry. Please note that customer responsibilities include providing accurate details, as quotations may be adjusted should additional work, materials, or unforeseen site conditions be identified.

3. Call-Out Policy

We offer free quotations for installation projects as part of Epitome Installers terms. However, if a technician is dispatched for a site inspection, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair assessment, or quotation, and Epitome Installers is not appointed to carry out the work, a call-out fee may be charged. It's important to note that customer responsibilities include understanding that call-out fees cover travel time, fuel costs, technician time, and fault-finding services.

4. Deposits & Payment Terms

A deposit of 75% is required for certain installation projects, custom orders, special-order equipment, and larger installations before work can commence, as outlined in the Epitome Installers terms. The remaining balance is payable immediately upon completion of the installation unless otherwise agreed in writing, which reflects the customer responsibilities. All repair, maintenance, and service work is payable upon completion. Epitome Installers reserves the right to suspend work, withhold equipment programming, commissioning, or final handover until payment has been received in full, in accordance with the installation services terms.

5. Installation Services

All installation services terms are followed according to industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and best practices. As part of the Epitome Installers terms, clients have customer responsibilities, including ensuring reasonable access to the property and work areas.

6. Repairs & Maintenance

While every effort is made to repair faulty equipment, Epitome Installers cannot guarantee the repair of equipment that has suffered severe electrical damage, water damage, vandalism, misuse, lightning damage, or manufacturer defects beyond repair. It is important to understand the customer responsibilities outlined in the Epitome Installers terms and the installation services terms to ensure clarity on what is covered.

7. Workmanship Warranty

Epitome Installers provides a 3-month workmanship warranty on all installation services and repair work performed by our technicians. This warranty is designed to cover faults related to workmanship that directly arise from the installation or repair executed by Epitome Installers. 


It's important to note that this workmanship warranty does not cover several specific issues, which include: 


- Lightning or power surge damage 

- Load shedding related damage 

- Battery deterioration due to age or usage 

- Third-party interference or modifications 

- Accidental damage 

- Vandalism or theft 

- Manufacturer defects 

- Damage caused by misuse or neglect 


Customers must also be aware of their responsibilities, as manufacturer warranties remain subject to the individual manufacturer's terms and conditions, which may vary from our Epitome Installers terms.

8. Customer Responsibilities

Clients have specific customer responsibilities, including providing safe access to the property and disclosing any known issues that may affect the installation, repairs, or maintenance work as outlined in the Epitome Installers terms regarding installation services terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

Under the Epitome Installers terms, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from service interruptions, equipment failures, power outages, load shedding, lightning damage, network outages, or third-party equipment failures. It is important for customers to understand their responsibilities in these situations.

10. Cancellations

According to Epitome Installers terms, appointments that are cancelled after technician dispatch or at short notice may result in a call-out fee or administration fee, reflecting the customer responsibilities involved in our installation services terms.

11. Privacy

Customer information is treated as confidential and used solely for service delivery, quotations, invoicing, communication, and legal obligations, in accordance with the Epitome Installers terms and the installation services terms, which outline customer responsibilities.

12. Changes to Terms
